OUR SOCIAL IMPACT
From the very beginning, we at InyaLand are strong believers in the principles of Certified B Corporations and the B Corp Declaration of Interdependence. We have currently been working towards meeting the performance requirements and then tackling the legal requirements with the goal of eventually becoming a benefit corporation and contributing to B the Change movement. If you are interested in B Corps, please let us know at social.impact@mm.inyaland.com so that we can work together to create a community of B Corps locally.
With a strong leadership commitment towards achieving social impact, InyaLand team members have been participating in various initiatives in internet accessibility, technology awareness in education and government, technology integration, and social volunteerism to do our little part in accelerating the transformation of Myanmar society for the better.
To accelerate internet accessibility to Myanmar people, our team members have been providing Myanmar language translation and localization support for Google, Facebook, and more.
We have also been involved in adopting and promoting the Unicode standard for Myanmar font so that digitization efforts in Myanmar can accelerate and achieve potential benefits fully.
For more students, executives, and policymakers to realize the technology potential in transforming organizations as well as themselves, InyaLand team members have been voluntarily orchestrating complimentary seminars and learning sessions at various universities such as Yangon Technological University, Mandalay Technological University, and University of Information Technology as well as Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (Assembly of the Union) and Pyithu Hluttaw (House of Representatives).
InyaLand has been sponsoring and donating technology equipment, software and services to universities and schools so that technology can be better integrated into learning environments.
For more than five years, on many Saturday evenings, our team members have been volunteering at Shwedagon Pagoda Saturday Association to clean the pagoda premises.
Our volunteer team members have also been annually giving a hand at Yangon General Hospital and Defense Services General Hospital Yangon for blood and food donation.
Last, but not least, as our signature project, we have been organizing the non-profit initiative Myanmar STEM Competition for 400+ young and early university students utilizing Lego Robotics, Arduino & Scratch in collaboration with many like-minded partners and 160+ volunteers for 3+ years.
